Ghostbusters: 1984 science fiction, action, and comedy film directed by Ivan Reitman and written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, who also perform. The story shows three parapsychologists and eccentric college professors who, after losing their research funds at Columbia University in New York, set up a company specializing in supernatural apparitions. Among its trademarks are its base in a disused fire department building, its car, a customized 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Ambulance named Ecto-1 and its forbidden logo on the design of a frightened ghost. Louis Tully (Rick Moranis) is a troubled and clumsy neighbor accountant to Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver), for whom he has unrequited romantic interest. Tully is possessed by an extra-dimensional demonic entity called Vinz Clortho, while Dana is possessed by another similar female entity called Zuul. Possessed by Vinz, Tully mates with Dana, still possessed by Zuul, but when they return to their normal state, neither has memories of what happened.
