The course Leadership and Personality is based on a series of lectures given by Prof. Dr. Ir. K.L. Boon to potential top managers of a large multinational. This is therefore a course aimed at higher education/ university level. The course examines the topics of personality traits, competencies and leadership styles. It offers the minimum amount of knowledge that every manager should have in these areas.
We assume that this knowledge is essential in the selection of personnel, performance evaluations and appraisals and the analysis of areas for personal improvement and development. It will become clear that the world of management uses a wide range of concepts. With this in mind, you will be encouraged to consider which concepts and procedures are used in your working environment.
This course also uses video material to present some famous leaders and you will see how effective the use of video fragments can be.
With a study time of approx. 1 hour per evening, this course can be completed in around 2 weeks.
Each lesson in this course begins with a list of the so-called lesson aims. This list details everything you should know and be able to do after completing the lesson.
